I'll be checking over the Wales Air Ambulance EXC one last time tonight after I've finished running in the freshly rebuilt engine. Tomorrow morning it all starts happening, it'll be a long day as I set off early to get the bike scrutineered, then make my way around each of the 3 special tests to walk around them and pick some good lines.
This year's Welsh 2 day special tests are in Crossgates, Pontrhydfendigaid and Abbeycwmhir. Day one is expected to be fairly dry, with the obligatory wet day on day two! I haven't ridden the Abbeycwmhir test before so that'll be interesting. Pontrhydfendigaid is my favourite, it had some nice technical bits in there last year, Crossgates is a pig in the wet, and Abbeycwmhir is a grass track so I expect it will be very slippery and probably quite challenging.
I'm excited now, some nerves are starting to set in but I'm really looking forward to it!
